How do I get my Bluetooth Headset to connect to my phone?

I Recently bought a Motorola Hs-810 Blueooth Headset and I can’t figure out how to connect it to my phone( A Motorola V3). I set the phone to search for Bluetooth Devices but it can’t find the Headset. Any help would be good?
